To get IMEI number just press *#06# on the mobile and a phone’s IMEI number or serial number would be displayed.
Now check the 7th and 8th numbers of the IMEI number i.e. Phone serial no. x x x x x x ? ? xx x x x x x
- If the seventh & eighth digits are 13, this means the cell phone is assembled in Azerbaijan which is of very bad quality and also dangerous for the health.
- If the seventh & eighth digits are 02 or 20, this means the cell phone is being assembled in Emirates which is of very bad quality.
- If the seventh & eighth digits are 08 or 80, this means the cell phone is manufactured in Germany which is of fair quality.
- If the seventh & eighth digits are 01 or 10, this means the cell phone is manufactured in Finland which is of very good quality.
- If the seventh & eighth digits are 00, this means the cell phone is manufactured in original factory which is of the best mobile quality.
So it is a simple Trick to check whether Nokia cell phone is original or not.
