1) Disable Indexing Services.

• Go to Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs >> Add/Remove Window Components.
• Now Uncheck the Indexing services.
• Click Next.

2) Disable automatically search for Network Folders and Printers.

• Open My Computer >> Tools >> Folder Options >> View.
• Uncheck the Automatically search for Network Folders and Printers Check Box.
• Click Apply >> Ok.

3) Disable transition effect for menus & tool tips and shadows under menus.

• Right Click on Desktop >> Properties >> Appearance >> Effects.
